Soldier-Moment in Time

WALT: Use adjectives (describing words) to make our writing interesting to the reader.
We pretended we were a soldier in the war, using our senses to describe what it was like.

I saw...Big machine guns shooting at soldiers and I saw blood flying
I heard...loud gas sound every where
I felt...blood dripping down me
I wondered...if New Zealand would win the war.

Phew...I'm tired

I am running as fast as a cheetah around the school field. I really wanted to stop but just kept on going. I run out of the door to get ready for training for Cross country. The Boys asked Cloe if  they could do push  ups, Cloe said yes . I did ten push ups. Room 9 is running around the Vardon school field fast. When I stepped on the wet grass it felt cold like ice.I was exhausted  because I did two laps with out stopping.  I got to the tree and flopped to the ground. Whaea Nikki asked if I was tired I said yes! I felt proud because I did two laps.

We have been  learning the principals of flight.They are Lift, thrust, gravity, and drag. Lift makes the plane go up. Thrust makes the plane go fast. I t makes it move. Gravity makes the plane go down and land. Drag makes the plane slow down. We also need control which means we can move the plane forward, left and right and up and down. Matariki Hangi

I peeled the potatoes. I loved eating the Hangi food.  I could smell the meat cooking, it was yummy.  It was interesting to see the hangi not being cooked under the ground.

Imagination

I think imagination is friends because they help me all the time. I think imagination is playing and climbing on the monkey bars. Imagination is me at Waihi Beach because there are big waves and racing BMX and coming first in my race.
